10 Reflections on Business and Life for 2024

Relationships are the most valuable thing. Always were and always will be. They make business enjoyable and they make my life joyful.

‍

Artificial Intelligence entered my life. It’s my quick guide to how to do anything. So far so good, but I know that it’s bringing disruption too. I’m staying vigilant.

‍

From SEO to Google Ads. My work shifted from a heavy focus on Search Engine Optimization projects in 2023 to a focus on Google Ads in 2024.

‍

SEO- I see big changes coming. I believe that SEO, as we have known it, will disappear from the marketing playbook in the next few years. More on that in this post: The Evolution of SEO in the Age of AI.

‍

Health- I’m not taking it for granted. My health this year was good but I know that I’ve entered an age when it is up to me to work hard to stay in good health. I’m trying.

‍

Video- I started a YouTube channel. Video was the medium that flowed seamlessless from desktop computers to mobile devices. We’ll see how it does with the AI revolution. Meanwhile, I’m using it more and more to market my business.

‍

Google Ads- more automation via Performance Max campaigns. Google is much better than me at targeting and optimizing campaigns. So I’m learning to trust it to do that.

‍

Copywriting- doing it more and loving it. I’ve always liked to write and now I offer to clients as a marketing service. More please.

‍

Adaptability and learning. I’m trying to show up, accept change, and keep learning. It’s sinking in that some of what I’ve learned over the years might be valuable and some needs to be set aside. I’m trying to come to work with Beginner’s Mind.

Gratitude. As 2024 nears it close, I’m mostly just thankful to my clients and colleagues who make my work possible. You also make it fun.
